Why Remodelling Can Give Garments New Life

At Tailor's Touch, each project starts with a close look at the garment itself. Fabric condition, seam construction, usable material, and the requested fit all shape what can be done, so every recommendation is based on the piece in front of us.

Some garments are best updated through a fit change, while others benefit from a fuller redesign. Dresses and skirts can be reshaped, shirts and jackets can be restyled, and vintage pieces can be adjusted to wear more comfortably without losing their character.

Keep the parts that still work. Rework the rest with care.

Garment remodelling and upcycling can extend the life of clothing that no longer fits, feels current, or suits the way you wear it now.

Upcycling also opens the door to smaller reuse projects. When a garment has sections that can no longer serve its original purpose, those materials may be turned into accessories or detail elements, depending on the fabric and overall condition.

Before any additional work begins, approval is required, and supplementary materials are quoted separately when needed. That keeps the process clear from the first review through to collection.
